Our Story
Outdoor Revival started with a simple belief: the best adventures rarely come from buying the newest gear.
I’m Mark - a passionate hiker, wildcamper, and someone who’s always felt drawn to the outdoors. Over the years, I’ve spent countless nights outside, whether camping in a tent or sleeping in my van, exploring landscapes across Ireland and the UK - from rugged coastlines and mountain paths to quiet, remote forest spots. I’ve also been fortunate enough to travel further afield through France, Italy, and Switzerland, discovering some of Europe’s most unforgettable scenery along the way.
What all of those trips taught me is that outdoor gear carries stories. A weathered backpack, a trusted waterproof jacket, or a tent that’s seen dozens of sunrises - these things become part of the adventure. Good gear isn’t disposable, and it shouldn’t end up forgotten in a cupboard or thrown away simply because something newer appears on the market.
That idea became Outdoor Revival.
We created Outdoor Revival to give quality outdoor clothing and equipment a second life - a place where hikers, campers, climbers, vanlifers, and weekend explorers can buy and sell pre-owned gear that still has years of adventure left in it.
Of course, like many outdoor people, I still appreciate great gear and the excitement of finding something new. But I also believe there’s a better, more sustainable way to enjoy the outdoors without contributing to unnecessary waste or the constant cycle of overconsumption.
Every item reused means less waste, less landfill, and more affordable access to the outdoors for someone else starting their own journey.
Outdoor Revival is about more than second-hand gear. It’s about community, sustainability, and helping more people experience the freedom that comes with sleeping under the stars, hiking a new trail, or discovering somewhere wild for the first time.
So wherever your next adventure takes you - whether it’s a mountain in Snowdonia, a wild camp in the Mournes, or a long distance trek through the Alps - we hope the gear you carry has a story behind it, and many more adventures ahead.
